Se coltivata in vaso come pianta perenne, fiorisce anche fino a tardo inverno. I fragili steli sopportano con difficoltà il peso dei fiori e si rompono molto facilmente, quindi é necessario tenere la pianta in un punto protetto dal vento affinché possa raggiungere la sua altezza massima di crescita di circa 1,5 - 2 metri. Conosciuta anche come 'Marihuanilla' o 'Wild Dagga', in Sudafrica ha una lunga tradizione come stimolante tradizionale. Le infiorescenze resinose sono state fumate probabilmente per migliaia di anni, e la coda di leone é utilizzata anche nella medicina popolare per la preparazione di infusi. L'alcaloide leonurina, responsabile dell'effetto tossico, è altamente idrosolubile e stimola la funzione del muscolo cardiaco.

I wanted the other species for some characteristics but as everything went OK and they germinated I rate it with 2 stars.
