'Habanada' chillies are characterised by their classic Habanero flavour – fruity, smoky, and hard to describe – but without the heat. Visually, the 'Habanada' looks almost identical to a "real" Habanero chilli, with its beautiful orange-salmon colour. The fruits are relatively thin-walled and dry well. Mild Habaneros can also be combined very well with hot varieties to create moderately spicy chilli sauces with plenty of Caribbean Capsicum chinense flavour. It is quite disconcerting to bite into a 'Habanada' chilli. You recognise the typical flavour and expect it to hurt, but nothing happens.
