'Nadapeño' is a typical jalapeño-type chilli. However, it has "nada," meaning no heat. Instead, it offers plenty of juiciness and a sweet flavour. Just like its hot relatives, 'Nadapeño' produces green, thick-walled fruits very early. In fact, jalapeños are often among the earliest varieties. However, they develop their full aroma when they ripen to a red colour. The characteristic corking of fully ripe jalapeños also often occurs in this variety. It is an excellent beginner's variety with high yield. 'Nadapeños' (and jalapeños) are less suitable for overwintering.
