The tomato 'Yellow Pear' is a yellow pear shaped cocktail tomato with a sweet taste, now also as organic seed. The fruits are 10-15 g in weight and tend to be slightly mealy. It is a very old heirloom variety, already mentioned by name in the 16th century. Known varieties of this tomato exist under the names Yellow Pearshaped or Poire Jaune. The fruits grow in large luscious clusters. The shoots tend to become overloaded with the weight of the fruits and definitely need a good support. It's recommended to grow more than one single shoot in parallel on a trellis for a high yield
